Linsey Hammon, MS, CCLS, GC-C, RWWP
FOUNDER | OWNER
CERTIFIED CHILD LIFE SPECIALIST | GRIEF COUNSELOR | TBRI PRACTITIONERLinsey has supported children and families facing healthcare challenges for twenty-five years, completing her clinical internship at Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in 1998. As a child life specialist in the busy emergency department at Cook Children’s Medical Center, Linsey discovered a passion for helping and supporting children, adolescents, and families experiencing a life-changing diagnosis, traumatic injury, crisis, and loss. She is naturally calm in the face of uncertainty and brings balance to others.
Linsey has an innate ability to connect with kids and teens from hard places and those living through the unexpected. She works with children, teens, and families to understand and process current health challenges and grief. Techniques of Linsey’s interventions include Companioning, Strengths-Based approach, Therapeutic Play, Medical Play, and activity-based Psycho-Education.
As a Registered Wonders & Worries Provider, Linsey is specially trained to work with children and adolescents who have a parent or caregiver with a serious or life-limiting illness. Navigating the uncertainty of a medical diagnosis can be difficult. Linsey works with families to make this time less frightening for kids and teens, providing them a space to explore their concerns while equipping them with strategies that increase emotional fortitude and security.
In order to focus on the growth of Lighthouse of Hope, Linsey recently stepped down from her roles as adjunct faculty at Texas Christian University (Fort Worth) and Texas Woman’s University (Denton); however, she remains a mentor to child life professionals.
Linsey likes banter, hilarity, and pretty things. She is wife to Tom and mom to two adult daughters and a son-in-law. Linsey enjoys live music, long road trips with the sunroof open, and curling up with a good book, a cup of coffee, and her Havadoodle pup, Albie. She and her family have made Keller, TX home since 1999.

CERTIFIED CHILD LIFE SPECIALIST
For twenty years, Angie has served patients and families in the pediatric hospital setting. Almost 15 years of that time was devoted to serving children and families in the pediatric intensive care unit. She discovered a passion for providing emotional support and education to families experiencing life-changing illnesses, grief, loss, and trauma.
Angie believes in the power of play and incorporates a variety of activity-based Therapeutic Intervention into her work. Several of the activities and interventions Angie uses at Lighthouse of Hope were developed during her many years as a counselor at summer grief camps for children who experienced the death of a loved one and for families who had experienced the loss of a child.
Angie believes in partnering with parents to best serve their family’s needs as they navigate seemingly impossible situations. As a Registered Wonders & Worries Provider, Angie has specific training and education to effectively work with children who have an adult in their life with a serious illness.
Angie also brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to be able to provide support and training to fellow child life specialists and child life programs. She has served in many child life leadership roles including interview committee founder and member, clinical supervision facilitator, preceptor for new child life hires, and within student leadership as a primary internship coordinator.
In her free time, Angie she enjoys spending time with her family and nieces and nephew, catching a Dallas Stars game, enjoying live music, reading a good book and traveling to new places.
