Welcome to Lighthouse of Hope
Our work is preventative and our focus is on emotional wellness.
We support kids, teens, and families through current stresses, including illness, injury, grief, loss, and big feelings. We equip them with tools they can put to use throughout their lives when experiencing stressful circumstances and serious life events.
Goals of our interventions include
improved coping skills, emotional safety, and strengthened family relationships.
About Lighthouse of Hope
We are a preventative service. Our goal is to provide exceptional psycho-education and psychosocial support while helping clients build resiliency. As a preventative service, we work with clients to enhance understanding and build emotional fortitude. Through this, many of our clients strengthen their emotional wellness and find they don’t need long-term counseling. In situations when counseling is necessary, we are prepared to refer clients to a number of community partners.
We use straight-forward, evidence-based practices to help you or your loved one. We embrace and implement a trauma-informed approach to care and it is our practice to consider the whole person as we work together to discover hope, healing, and joy.
The story of Lighthouse of Hope doesn’t really have a beginning.
Rather a series of passions and experiences culminated at a moment of adversity to bring Lighthouse of Hope to life. This is center that God built and we are glad to partner with you.
So, why a lighthouse?
Lighthouses aren’t really needed on the days with the skies are clear and the seas are calm, but they become critical to survival during darkness and storms.
Lighthouses guide us to safety. Your refuge is here, come this way.
Lighthouses illuminate the collision of waters and rocks. Careful, there may be unseen danger.
Lighthouses are resilient and built to withstand storms. This is your protection, safety is here.
Lighthouses guide and lend shelter. Our child life specialists, grief counselors, and staff are here serving as your lighthouse in the midst of life’s challenges; educating, guiding, and seeing you through.
You don’t have to go it alone.
After more than twenty years in pediatric health care, we are honored to bring the important preventative work of child life to our community and beyond.
